Tresa Anderson: May 2021 Instructor of the Month

Q: How did you get into the fitness & yoga world and when did you know you wanted to become a fitness instructor & yoga teacher?

A: I transitioned from the corporate world into fitness after having my children. I started as a Spin Instructor and shortly thereafter expanded into Group Fitness and Personal Training.

The journey to becoming a yoga teacher begins & ends at Evolution Yoga. While I took sporadic yoga classes prior to Evolution Yoga opening, my practice became more consistent once the studio opened. It is here that I decided I could also become a Yoga teacher.

Q: What do you feel is your purpose as a yoga teacher?

A: Guide students through physical practices with an ever present emphasis on mindfulness; sometimes challenging what you are mentally capable of.

Q: What do you feel is your purpose as a fitness instructor?

A: Strive to motivate & lead individuals through classes that challenge the body and sometimes challenge the beliefs about what you are physically capable of.

Q: What quotes or mantras currently resonate with you?

A: When I wake each morning before rising from bed I offer three sentences...

Thank you.

This is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it.

Today is be the best day of my life.

Q: What’s your favorite thing about working at Evolution Yoga?

A: EVERYTHING!!! What’s not to like?

It is so inspiring to read about Tresa's journey from corporate life to teaching. If you're looking for recovery methods to pair with your workouts, I found that gua sha Vancouver really helps with muscle tension after a tough session. Tresa's focus on mindfulness and challenging physical limits is exactly what I look for in a good instructor.

Congratulations to Tresa on being recognized as Instructor of the Month! Her dedication to helping others achieve better health and wellness is truly inspiring. Discussions about fitness and well-being often connect to broader health topics, including What Is Home Health Care, which supports individuals in maintaining health and independence at home.
